• Efficiency when hot. (Resistance to fade).
• Ability to recover after severe application.
• Low noise.
• Reasonably long life.
• Environmentally safe.
• Low rotor wear.

Pads which work well when cold may drop off in efficiency at higher temperatures. (Conditions found in a unit used for short trips and mainly local driving).

Pads which may not be as effective when cold may be ideal at very high temperatures. (Conditions found when towing, racing or continuous off-road hilly operations).

However, disc pads qualities overlap to a large extent and all Terrain Tamer pads would be safe for general use.
